The Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade, that participatory family fave, will light up the East Trail on Saturday night, inaugurating the sixth annual Art on the BeltLine exhibit and performance series. (Check art.beltline.org for performance schedule.)

This just in: The United Sacred Harp Musical Association (United Convention), a two-day singathon of traditional shape note singing, will be held at the Church of Our Saviour in Virginia Highlands on September 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and September 13 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The public is invited, and it is free. If you haven’t heard shape note singing, take this opportunity. It’s bliss.
