The Atlanta native, known for his Tony Award-winning performance as Jud Fry in the 2002 Broadway revival of “Oklahoma!” and for his turn as the Monster in the musical adaptation of “Young Frankenstein,” will teach a series of workshops at the College of the Arts. He will also introduce students to notable arts and theater personalities. First up: an interview with veteran Broadway director and producer Hal Prince in his New York office on September 14, which will be shown in KSU’s Howard Logan Stillwell Theater via Skype.

Hensley will continue to pursue his acting career during his residence. He has been cast in the musical retrospective “Prince of Broadway,” scheduled to open in 2013, and he will host the fifth annual Shuler Hensley Awards next April.
